Have you read the papers today?
If you did, you may have come across a huge photo of our instructor Shuyi chilling out on our SURFSET board – SURFSET Fitness is featured in the Style & Beauty section of today’s Today newspaper!
Mummy! It’s over!
Once again we brought our boards out-and-about, this time to a big exhibition hall in Suntec Exhibition and Convention Centre. We were there for Asia Xpedition, a sports and travel fair focusing on adventure. We thought it was a great way to do many activities in one day – at the fair you could do archery, climb a rock wall, bounce on a trampoline, pole dance, ride on a bmx bike, and shoot rubber balls out a paintball gun. Awesome? You bet.
Of course, you could also hop on our boards and start sweating!
We got a pretty big booth at the event, with enough space for five boards, and a little stage for the instructor board so that we could hold classes. We also made a nice little backdrop with our logo so people would know who we are, and take photos in all sorts of cool poses. It looked like this: Read more

We recently gave an interview to Malaysia Airlines’ inflight magazine, Going Places. In it we spoke about SURFSET (of course), bringing SURFSET Fitness to Singapore, the benefits, and the types of classes. We thought it was a great way to cover some of the basic questions we frequently get from people, the press, and inquisitive bystanders. Here’s the full transcript.
What is Surfset and why bring it to Singapore?
SURFSET Singapore is Asia’s first studio offering the unique SURFSET fitness programme. Located in a historic shophouse in Joo Chiat, Singapore’s first heritage town, SURFSET Singapore promotes a healthy active lifestyle through unique exercises that are challenging, fun, and safe.
Have you been reading your Japanese newspapers and magazines? We haven’t – we’ll admit that we don’t know how. But recently, we got our hands on this magazine outside a Japanese Sushi Restaurant (we eat Japanese food very well).
It’s Mangosteen Club, a Japanese magazine based in Singapore, and we’re thankful that it has an English title, so that we wouldn’t be fumbling about what to call it in this post. Read more
SURFSET Fitness is happy to be featured as an Anlene Active Place on Anlene Singapore’s Facebook page!
Anlene’s Active Places are all about alternative gyms to get fit in unconventional ways – we think SURFSET Fitness is a great fit for this feature. What is most important, though, is about getting more people interested in fitness and exercise, whether it’s doing traditional workouts, joining conventional classes like yoga or pilates, or even simpler things like going for jogs, long walks, and working out at home.
